The L.A. of Europe at its original screening (my graduation show) was accompanied by the following text
What is poetry?! That big head of mine… Sometimes I shadow box all night! I pour more coffee into me and tell my reflected self don’t give me that crap; I spit at the puddle that is of oil, which you don't see too often anymore, but no rippling surface confirms this has happened; a stoic puddle of oil has bested me as many other adversaries no doubt will.
This is gas station cappuccino I mutter as I walk away wounded. There are fields all around me. I look back: big block letters spray painted on the backside of the car wash reads FUCK SCHOOL. “How about F yourself or I shadow box School” I shadowbox, all the way home.
In bed I read The House of Hunger:
“The man, astonished, and perhaps a little angry, demanded: “what crutch?”
“And the dwarf, spitting again at the skulking chameleon, said: “why, your mind”.
‘And with that they parted’
Is a paragraph that I read.
